We’ve recently added our 1000th customer and are looking to grow our portfolio of services by adding a Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead the cultivation and implementation of FMX’s strategic partnerships.
The Director of Strategic Partnership will be responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships and designing policies that allow partnerships to thrive. This role will see partnerships through from the development stage to implementation/go-to-market and through to scaling, via identifying opportunities, developing and executing partnership plans, and negotiating contracts with strategic partners, followed by continuing to manage relationships post-implementation to ensure partnership success.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience conducting market research, building relationships, developing and presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and working cross-functionally across many teams. In this role, you'll be working in a fast-paced, high-energy, and collaborative environment, where you'll be expected to show up every day and impact the strategy and culture of the company in a positive way.
Map out the FMX ecosystem to use as a benchmark for vetting out potential partners
Build and manage a partnership opportunity pipeline while identifying synergistic relationships and building rapport with potential partners
Lead conception, implementation, and optimization of strategic partnerships with the objective of driving growth and engagement
Manage partnerships post-implementation; liaise with partners to solve issues, communicate needs, and maintain ongoing synergy
Build an organizational network through targeted outreach and strong project planning
Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes, and report on key metrics
Assist with the development of key metrics/KPIs
Manage relationships with customers and vendors to build the brand and the business
Work cross-functionally across all departments of FMX to successfully execute partnerships
Experience & Qualities:
You have a BS/BA or MBA degree in business, administration/management, communications or a related field
You have 5+ years of experience in sales or a strategic partnership-based role
You have a strong background in marketing
You are a strategic thinker who thrives on problem-solving
You maintain exceptional attention to detail, task management, and organizational skills
You have experience identifying, structuring, and scaling strategic partnerships
You have excellent written and oral communications skills
You can build relationships quickly with anyone
You are self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment
